Turning Sour into Stunning

Share
There are a lot of headaches when it comes to planning a wedding.  I've dealt with 25 phone calls from my mom. In one day.  We've struggled over our guest list and don't even get me started on the whole "watch what I eat" thing.

But I'm taking a breath.  And looking at things in a new light.  A bright yellow light.

So when this whole bride thing gives me lemons, I'm going to think of how to incorporate them into my wedding.

Head to the Weddzilla Blog to check out my post for more lemon-into-lemonade ideas like these:

Eye Candy

Share
I used to prance around my house with a big ol' strawberry candy ring on my finger.   I'd turn my hand this way and that way, stare at myself, and admire my sugary faux diamond in the mirror. All while dancing to Madonna.  So it's not really surprising that I was instantly drawn to these sweet ring photos:

Weddzilla Post: Hanging for a Moment

Share
A wedding dress on a hanger, in a certain type of light, makes my heart flip flop.  Perhaps it's the purity each picture emanates or the unspoken promise held on a hanger...

Check out my post on the Weddzilla blog for breathtaking images such as this one:

Love in a Bed of Leaves

Share
Fall in Miami conjures up images of sun, sand and... a bed of leaves.  Golds, oranges, yellows... these photographs (which I can't stop staring at) have made me believe that there ARE seasons in the South.  I'll be at this couple's wedding on Friday and I'm going to have to remind myself to keep the drooling to a minimum:

Moments of Reflection

Share
I've heard it's easy, amidst all the excitement and craziness at your wedding, to remember to look around and really absorb the day. I've heard it's important to find some time to reflect and take it all in.  These pictures capture the essence of those rare moments where brides took a breath:

Ring Love

Share
I've said it before, and I'll say it again - it's okay to stare at your engagement ring.  A lot!  It's also okay to admire the sparkling creations adorning someone else's finger.  Which is why I was spellbound by these photographs from Emily Porter Photography:

Featured Weddzilla Bride Blogger

Share
Between venue scouting, dress shopping, cake tasting and flower picking - there's lots to write about.  And now I get to share my journey from newly engaged to newly wed with the Weddzilla community of bloggers and readers.

When I found out, I did a little dance in front of my computer and then began creating an editorial calendar of what I wanted to write about in the coming months (I'm nothing if not organized).

So every Tuesday and Thursday I'll be posting to the Weddzilla blog; but don't worry, I'll still be sharing some of the mishaps, missteps and the Miss to Mrs. experiences right here on Bride Goggles.

Check out my Featured Bride Blogger post here and keep checking under my name, Kim D, on the Weddzilla blog for thoughts, inspirations and all that fun wedding stuff!

Eat, Drink & Be Married

Share
One really cool thing about the place I'm getting married?  They request that I think up a signature summer drink!

Oh, the options.

From a magnificent martini a creative bubbly concoction, I've been thinking up ways to add a twist to the traditional.

What I've run across has made me tipsy with excitement:
